Dunkin’ Donuts Looks for Franchisee Candidates to Open New Restaurants

Dunkin’ Donuts, the country’s all-day and everyday shop for delicious coffee and freshly baked goods, has made an important announcement to the public.

It just signed multiple store development agreements with its two franchise groups, both of which will develop 7 restaurants in the State of Illinois in the next couple of years.

The 2 franchise groups and their store development plans are:

Existing store franchisees Rashimi Patel and Krishna Patel, who have laid a plan that will develop 4 Dunkin’ Donuts sites throughout Champaign, with one of the stores to be situated outside the major metropolitan area.

The Patel group currently heads and operates a total of 6 Dunkin’ Donuts shops within the areas of Joliet, Plainfield, Romeoville, and Shorewood.

Patel’s next Dunkin’ Donut store will be located in Decatur, with the start of operation slated to happen in summer of 2015.

DunkinDonuts (2)PinOther franchisee Asif Rajabali also plans to operate 3 more Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants. The stores are to be situated near small communities and towns located just outside of Rockford.

Currently, Rajabali owns and operates 2 Dunkin’ Donuts shops in Elgin and Bartlett. His third restaurant is slated to be operational come winter, 2015. The rest of his Dunkin’ Donut stores will be open by 2017.

To date, the company has around 591 Dunkin’ Donuts shops that are located throughout the State of Illinois. And it still continues to recruit franchisees within Quincy and throughout towns and cities outside the greater metro areas of Peoria and Champaign.

To help stimulate the economic growth within Illinois, a number of special development incentives has been made available by Dunkin Donuts to its franchisees.

All of these incentives and come-ons are inviting and attractive to existing and would be franchisees.

They include shaved royalty fees for 3 years and up, and almost $5,000 of support from the local store marketing for vital and timely openings.

In its efforts to maintain a fresh and competitive brand, Dunkin’ Donuts has made available a number of flexible concepts for all formats of real estate.

The most traditional ones include end caps, free-standing restaurants, travel plazas, in-line sites, universities, gas and convenience, as well as other popular retail areas.

“Our enthusiastic and dedicated franchisees contribute to our brands’ growth, which has helped solidify our position as one of the fastest growing companies by unit count in the quick-service restaurant industry,” announced Grant Benson, CFE and vice president of Dunkin’ Brands’ global franchising and business development.

According to Benson, the company is thrilled about existing franchisees expanding their portfolios within the Illinois market.

Dunkin’ Donuts knows that these new stores being developed by the franchisees will satisfy the various demands and needs of communities in the Rockford and Champaign areas.

Dunkin’ Donuts displays an entirely new look that includes 4 options for unique restaurant designs for its franchisees, each of such designs featuring varied layouts, graphics, color schemes, lighting, furniture, and textures.

All design options will enhance the existing appearance of the restaurant, layout and overall environment, not only benefitting the workers but customers, most especially.

Not like its fast service competitors, franchisees are allowed by Dunkin’ Donuts to choose available individual elements from the four options.

This, in effect, will create a design that is a reflection of the franchise owner’s own preferences and tastes. Surely, the design that he will choose will best serve the store’s specific size as well as its location.
