preparation

  • Ingredients:

    150 ml Water, 5 g Dry yeast, 10 g Cane sugar

Put lukewarm water, dry yeast and cane sugar in a large bowl and stir.

  • Add flour and vegan protein and mix together. Transfer the dough to a floured surface. Add salt and knead with your hands for approx. 7 minutes to form a smooth dough.

  • Shape the dough into a ball, return to the bowl and cover with a kitchen towel. Let rest for 1 hour so that the dough rises.

  • Divide the dough into 6 small balls and let rest covered for another 20 minutes.

  • Dust the work surface with flour and roll out the dough ball with a rolling pin into a 0.5 cm thin circle.

  • Heat a pan on medium heat. Put in the pita bread and turn after 10 seconds.

  • Turn the pita bread again after 10 seconds. Keep turning every 10 seconds until it puffs up. This process should take about 3-4 minutes.

  • Place the baked pita breads on a plate and cover with a kitchen towel until serving so that they do not become hard.

  • To fill the pita bread, simply cut it in half.

  • Good Appetite!
